The People Behind the Project.
Here at QED, we recognise that our staff are our most influential assets and continue to encourage and support their training by offering opportunities both in and out of the workplace. The team recognises the importance of industry support and accreditations, with employees being accredited in the following industry bodies:

The staff at QED have a wide range of skillsets owing to their differing backgrounds, with teamwork being a core attribute held by each member of the team.

Dominic Latham.
Managing Director
Dominic has an extensive experience of engineering projects from conception to completion, on a wide variety of schemes, including hospitals, both city centre and out of town office schemes, schools, residential developments and refurbishment works.
Dominic has worked with a variety of clients including private clients, healthcare trusts, County Councils, developers and contractors.

Geoff White.
Director
Since leaving University in 1973, Geoff who is a Chartered Engineer, has worked continuously in building services engineering, carrying out the duties of a design engineer either with consultancies or with government organisations.
Much of that time has been spent on commercial projects, but also specifically on industrial, educational, healthcare and laboratory projects, including bio-chemistry/micro-biology, and nuclear related scheme.

Urai White.
Director
Urai is responsible for the management of business accounts, and the co-ordination of administration duties and office procedures.
Urai also has experience in drafting M&E design drawings and undertaking engineering calculations.

William McCloy.
Electrical Associate
William has over 38 years experience in consultancy, 20 of these with QED, with a wide experience in all aspects of design and specification, project negotiation, contract management, cost control, site supervision & inspection duties for Electrical Building Engineering Services. Other responsibilities include overseeing Health & Safety and design risk assessments for project related work for the practice.
William has worked with a variety of clients over the years including healthcare trusts, MoD, Private & Public telecommunications providers, National Grid, private developers and national contractors.

Callum Timbrell.
Mechanical Engineer
Callum has worked on the mechanical design and preparation of construction information for a number of different engineering projects, including hospitals, crematoria, high-rise residential developments, offices, and refurbishment works.
Callum is undertaking a part time degree qualification with a long-term vision to achieve Chartered status.

Nathan Burnell.
Electrical Engineer
Nathan is an approved electrician who has worked on a wide variety of projects, ranging from MOD to Healthcare. Since turning his hand to consultancy, he has been responsible for Electrical design and specification, contract management and inspection duties for Electrical Building Services.
Nathan has experience of working with a number of different clients in various sectors, including Healthcare Trusts, County Councils, Private Developers and Contractors.
Henry Li.
Electrical Engineer
Henry graduated from an architecture and building services engineering degree which provided him skills and knowledge on usage of software up to BIM level 2, as well as an insight from both sides of the discipline.
Henry will keep sustainability and user experience in mind while working towards his membership of the IET and becoming a Chartered Engineer.

John Vowles.
CAD Technician
John has been responsible for the drafting of M&E design drawings for a breadth of different projects including hospitals, high-rise residential developments, offices, crematoria and refurbishment works.
John has experience in using design software including AutoCAD, Revit and Dialux.
Laura Latham.
Office Administrator
Laura is responsible for the day to day bookkeeping of the company and manages our customer accounts.
