The staff at QED have a wide range of skillsets owing to their differing backgrounds, with teamwork being a core attribute held by each member of the team.
Dominic Latham.
Managing Director
Dominic has an extensive experience of engineering projects from conception to completion, on a wide variety of schemes, including hospitals, both city centre and out of town office schemes, schools, residential developments and refurbishment works.
Dominic has worked with a variety of clients including private clients, healthcare trusts, County Councils, developers and contractors.
Geoff White.
Director
Since leaving University in 1973, Geoff who is a Chartered Engineer, has worked continuously in building services engineering, carrying out the duties of a design engineer either with consultancies or with government organisations.
Much of that time has been spent on commercial projects, but also specifically on industrial, educational, healthcare and laboratory projects, including bio-chemistry/micro-biology, and nuclear related scheme.
Urai White.
Director
Urai is responsible for the management of business accounts, and the co-ordination of administration duties and office procedures.
Urai also has experience in drafting M&E design drawings and undertaking engineering calculations.
Callum Timbrell.
Senior Mechanical Engineer
Whilst undertaking and completing his degree qualification, Callum has worked on a variety of projects and has been responsible for mechanical design, specification, snagging and site witnessing duties.
Callum has experience working across a variety of sectors including healthcare, residential, commercial and refurbishment works for both public and private clientele.
Nathan Burnell.
Senior Electrical Engineer
Nathan is an approved electrician who has worked on a wide variety of projects, ranging from MOD to Healthcare. Since turning his hand to consultancy, he has been responsible for Electrical design and specification, contract management and inspection duties for Electrical Building Services.
Nathan has experience of working with a number of different clients in various sectors, including Healthcare Trusts, County Councils, Private Developers and Contractors.
Ben Beard.
Assistant Mechanical Engineer
After completing his A-levels, Ben has been working on the mechanical design, specification and drafting of multiple projects.
Ben will be undertaking a part time degree qualification, with a long term vision of becoming a Chartered Engineer.
Tom Thirlwall.
Assistant Electrical Engineer
Tom started his career within building services as an apprentice electrician working on sites across a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial and industrial. Since turning to consultancy, Tom has been working on the electrical design, specification and drafting of multiple projects.
Tom will be undertaking a part time degree qualification, with a long term vision of becoming a Chartered Engineer.
Gary Dann.
Project Surveyor
Gary has over 20 years experience in commercial and retail facilities management, including management of contracts for Hertz and Superdrug.
Within his role, Gary has experience of managing mechanical and electrical projects.
John Vowles.
CAD Technician
John has been responsible for the drafting of M&E design drawings for a breadth of different projects including hospitals, high-rise residential developments, offices, crematoria and refurbishment works.
John has experience in using design software including AutoCAD, Revit and Dialux.
Laura Latham.
Office Administrator
Laura is responsible for the day to day bookkeeping of the company and manages our customer accounts.
